About Camp Geronimo

Camp Geronimo is an overnight experience where campers will be able to build their own schedule based on their interests! Programs offered will include swimming, canoeing, kayaking, art, chess, space exploration, pottery, basketry, first aid, environmental science, nature, geology, mammal study, forestry, archery, rifle, cooking, geocaching, and castaway adventure! The fun does not stop there though – every second of the day is filled with exciting experiences from campfire shows to camp wide games!

This program will offer a variety of multidisciplinary experiences that support Arizona academic standards, citizenship, physical fitness, art, career exploration, and peer socialization. Each class is based on the Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge program, which is developed by subject-matter experts from the national office. We use a holistic approach to our program design, ensuring that every aspect of our camp experience our educational goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Never been to camp before? Here are the answers to some of our Frequently Asked Questions:

Who am I going to spend the week with?

Upon arrival at Camp Geronimo, you will be organized into campsite crews made up of your peers and led by two of our staff members. This is who you will camp with, eat with, and go to whenever you have a question.

What will I be sleeping in?

Campers at Geronimo spend the week in canvas wall tents on platforms! Worried about the heat? The Mogollon Rim has a much milder temperature than the Salt River Valley, and it often even gets a little chilly at night!

What do I need to pack?

We will send a document with more information (including a packing list, detailed schedule, etc.) after you register!
